Happy Earth Day! Let's Explore Texture.

Happy Earth Day! Let's Explore Texture.

Happy Earth Day. Let's explore the outdoors!

Time spent outdoors is just as valuable as the time spent learning inside the home or classroom. Going outdoors is a fantastic way to introduce textures, adjectives and opposites to expand your preschooler's vocabulary.

By Kindergarten, children will demonstrate the understanding of frequently occurring verbs and adjectives by relating them to their opposites (antonyms).

Here we explored smooth vs. rough. The outdoors provided my preschooler with a natural laboratory for observation and exploration.

Take the day to observe nature in its natural habitat and appreciate what the Earth has to offer us. Explore the Earth's texture and discus its natural beauty. Follow up by asking your preschooler how they can continue to admire and appreciate the world we live in.
