Number Search

Number Search

Your phone timer is a great way to play a number search game.

Set your timer for 1 minute and have your child let you know every time they see the number you requested.

By Kindergarten, children need to count to 100 by ones and tens. Learning to identify numbers at an early age will help them achieve this standard.

Remember, as children show readiness, share with them that the tens place has a larger value than the ones. For example, when they see a 2 in the 20's place, remind them that it stands for 20 rather than 2. It is important for them to understand that 20 is 2 groups of ten.
