Small, Medium, Large - Outdoors!
In Kindergarten, children will be asked to directly compare two objects with a measurable attribute in common, to see which object has "more of"/"less of" the attribute, and describe the difference. For example, directly compare the heights of two children and describe one child as taller/shorter.
Outdoors is a wonderful place for your preschooler to explore this standard.
Together, we found 3 different pinecones and organized them from smallest to biggest.
We continued the observation, by finding more pinecones and placing them with pinecones of similar size.
