Transparency is everywhere, and in Kindergarten, your child will be asked to sort common objects into categories to gain a sense of the concepts the categories represent.
Begin to share the word transparent with your child after finishing up blueberries or unwrapping a toy. You will find that you have transparent recycled objects everywhere!
Have your preschooler look through the transparent object, explore what it looks like on the sides as you fill it up, and go on a hunt throughout the house for other transparent objects.
If your child shows readiness, share with them the words oblique and translucent.
