Eye Chart Pop-Up
By Kindergarten, children will be asked to recognize and name all upper- and lowercase letters of the alphabet.
This game will also allow your preschooler to recognize letters of the alphabet out of sequence.
I found this eye chart at Paper Source and knew that we could use it for many different letter recognition games. (more to come with the chart next week)
I posted the chart and covered some of the letters with Post-It notes. I created a starting point for Grey to understand the organization of the game. By Kindergarten, children will be expected to follow agreed-upon rules for discussions.
I encourage spontaneous play based learning, and also try to incorporate games with directions to remain balanced. Don't forget that preschoolers also like structure!
