Little Fingers Friday - Why Do Thing Move?

Little Fingers Friday - Why Do Thing Move?

The world is in constant motion. We are surrounded by living and nonliving things. Trajectory is the exploration of how objects move vertically, horizontally, across, up and down.

Your toddler will investigate:

What makes objects move?

How do objects change direction and speed?

This activity also allows your toddler (and preschooler) to test the different variables of movement. This will allow your toddler to test force, gravity and cause and effect

Below, Hayes begins to explore  how to get the object to roll out of  tube.

This tube was purchased at Home Depot. The ball is an object we already had. Allow your toddler to test different sizes and shapes to see which objects will go through the tube at different speeds, using different force.

Preschoolers like getting involved too!  This inquiry allows them to explore, ask questions, and make modifications to obtain the desired outcome.
