Primary Color Hunt and Sort
Inside: Primary color sorting game for your preschooler
If you refer to them often enough, you will be amazed at how quickly your preschooler catches on.
"Can we pleeeeeaseee go to the primary color park?"
"Look, it's RED! A primary color!"
There is just something about red, yellow and blue that is sticky. And this primary color sorting game is the perfect place to start.
Most importantly, this game is great for gross motor and gets your preschooler moving!
Why is this color sorting game so important?
By Kindergarten, children will be asked to classify objects into given categories; count the numbers of objects in each category and sort the categories by count.

Add two words to your daily conversations today.
"Oh, I see. You are sorting by color! How clever!"
"How did you know that the blue slipper gets classified with the other blues?"
And here is another primary color game your preschooler will love with ICE!

Now for the best part! The clean up is FUN!!!
I promise. Both of my preschoolers (4 years and 2.5) LOVED the cleanup.
WHY did my preschoolers love cleaning up this color sorting game?
Because we made it fun by calling out a color.
"Okay...who has yellow? Grab all your yellows and put them back in the house. Do you remember where these came from?"
Can you believe there is more?
My four year old enjoyed this activity SO much that he wanted 3 more colors added. We drew out the different colors on our paper and he went around to collect, sort and PUT AWAY the objects! (gasp!) A serious winning situation!
